Hi! I'm Jane Whitman

Back to skool!

Its Not All Numbers

G'day!

I know, I know it's August, and technically school doesn't start for another month!

Honestly, I'm not going to tell you how to get ready for the new term!

But my point is, and as some one that has tried every form of time management technique imaginable. I think I've finally found one that works! and to get there I went back to my school days!

You see way back when my school day started at 9am and ended at 3.40pm, and our lessons times within that were either known as 'single - 35mins' or 'double - 60mins'' with an hour for lunch and a 5/10min break mid=morning and afternoon (bear with I'm getting there!) ...

So this last month instead of blocking out my calendar with coloured tasks and setting the pomodoro clock for 25mins, because the people pleasing perfectionist in me would just turn of the clock and ''just'' get to the end of the task which meant all time blocks went out the window!

I have spaced my days match my old school day, I do set a timer for either 35mins or 60mins but so far it seems to be working and the bonus between every ''lesson'' I take sip of water and stretch/move both of which I am notoriously bad at doing when I get my head down.

So here's to my school days! Would love to know what little things from your school days you find help you now (and I'm not talking about those pesky maths lessons!)

The numbers bit ..
It's august and you probably just want to enjoy a bit sun and possibly that holiday you've been planning since you cleared away the christmas decorations! So I'm not going to say do this, do that you gotta do it now.

But remember bookkeeping is a habit (that's all) and so even if you only have time this month to do 5mins here and their to scan a view receipts, or invoice a client it all helps build the habit and keeps your number story on track.

3 things from this month ...

Well I've disturbed you summer for long enough, whatever you're planning - enjoy it
