Its Not All Numbers
Hello Reader,
So starting in that very British way .. the weather! June has been a scorcher ... maybe for me it's a little too hot - I really am a shade bunny and anything over 25 degrees C has me running for cover.. but come December if anyone tells me we didn't have a sunny summer i'll eat my sun 👒hat !
Hope you've been able to enjoy a little bit of it and not been tied to your desk...
And if your are feeling tied to the desk .. as we head steadily into July with thoughts turning to taking a summer break and negotiating school holidays, wandering how you're going manage business, clients and all. Let's take a minute to and remember ..
- It's only urgent if it's life threatening
- You can only do one thing at a time
- Your time isn't infinite so being able to enjoy it is the priority
- If someone doesn't accept your plan to take a break with your family, are they really your people
However you plan your summer schedule, make sure you prioritise yourself and enjoy it, and have fun.
When you making that plan .. there is one task I must ask you to prioritise this month especially if you're taking time away from the office at the end of July ...
July is Payment on Account month, yep! that second instalment advance payment on the 2025/2026 tax return is due by 31st July.
We're planning a couple of trips in Sofia (that's her in the picture) we're off to Yorkshire for week later this month and Warwick for a couple of days in August. Hit reply and let me know what sunny climes you'll be visiting i'm a noisy and always looking places to add to the travel list ...
The numbers bit ..
Just a reminder if you are struggling to keep on top of you numbers and are tying yourself in knots trying to work out how to crack the code and keep them in check regularly, the Numbers Story challenge is for you. 3 things from this month...
🎾Wimbledon
Anyone for Tennis? No I can't play for toffee, but I do love to watch I've been lucky to have tickets in the past (even a Ladies Final Day one year) But alas this year I'll be on the sofa with my Strawberries and (DF) Cream. (Thank you BBC)

🥾Walking
I love a good walk, and it's one of the things I'm looking forward when in Yorkshire, lots of lovely country walks
and if it ends with a Shandy & and a Ploughmans in quaint little country pub, that's the icing on the cake

📺 Watching
Have you seen Code of Silence, starring Rose Ayling-Ellis the deaf actress? Has someone that has hearing issues myself, I found it really interesting how the used the subtitles to make you aware of how she reads the lips and then has assemble them in to a sentence that makes sense.
